You simply take off the dust container, take out the old filter and put the new filter in the dust container - so that it doesn't slip!
You can easily clean the filter with water. Then let it dry for a short time and you can put it back in and use it again!
The filters are very robust and durable. The wear and tear of the filter also depends on how often you use the CLEAN-FIT-PERFORMANCE. Basically, it should be changed as soon as there is a "gray shimmer" over the filter!
